Prayer Travel Services
How a travel agency in Algiers reached #1 on Google, locally.
Travel & tourism agency · Bir Mourad Raïs, Algiers

The context
Prayer Travel Services is a travel and tourism agency in Bir Mourad Raïs, Algiers. It offers trips, Hajj and Umrah services, and visa support.
The owner came to us with a clear need: give his agency a real online presence, a professional site where customers could find and recognize it.
He also wanted to be able to update the site himself, with his team, without depending on a developer for every small change.
The goal
- Have a professional website and a real online presence.
- Get found on Google by customers in his area and across Algiers.
- Be able to manage and update the content in-house.
What they needed
- A clear, credible site that presents the agency and its services well.
- A tool his team can update themselves.
- Strong local SEO to stand out in searches in his area.
What we did
We always recommend the best tool for each client. For top speed we recommend Next.js, but the owner's priority was being able to manage the site himself. So we built a clean, professional WordPress site - a perfect fit for his need for independence.
During the build, we laid strong SEO foundations: careful on-page SEO and local SEO targeted on Bir Mourad Raïs and Algiers, so the right customers find the agency at the right moment.
The goal was simple: a site the team can keep alive, and SEO foundations solid enough to last over time.
WordPress (the client's choice)
Chosen so his team could update the site themselves, without a developer. The right tool for his need for control and independence.
On-page SEO from the build
A clear structure, content and tags made for Google, built in from the start.
Targeted local SEO
Optimized for searches in his area - the ones that bring real customers.
What was achieved
- Within a few months: top 3, often #1, on Google for key local searches.
- #1 for “travel / tourism agency in Bir Mourad Raïs” and “Hajj agency”.
- Several years later, the site still ranks #1 or #2 on various local searches - proof of solid foundations.
- An excellent SEO score (100) on Google PageSpeed.

Why “No Data”?
The "Discover what your real users are experiencing" panel shows "No Data": Google needs a minimum volume of real Chrome visits over 28 days before it publishes this field data. Even a site that has ranked well for years, like this one, can fall short of that volume if its traffic is mostly local - it does not indicate a technical or ranking problem.
SEO on this site
For Prayer Travel Services, this SEO work was done several years ago: the owner had not originally asked for SEO, but we offered it as part of a special promotion we were running at the time. The groundwork laid back then still holds up today.
What does the Google PageSpeed “SEO” score mean?
The Lighthouse "SEO" score (in the Google PageSpeed Insights reports above) mainly checks whether a page follows basic technical SEO practices, not its real ranking on Google. Google says so itself under this score: "These checks ensure that your page is following basic search engine optimization advice. There are many additional factors Lighthouse does not score here that may affect your search ranking, including performance on Core Web Vitals. Learn more about Google Search Essentials."
Local search results, July 2026. Local rankings vary by location and can change. The site has held its position for years on SEO foundations laid at build time.
